BioBam Achieves ISO 27001 Recertification

In recent years, we have been updating our ISO 27001 certification status since its initial achievement in 2020. Since then, the BioBam team has been dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and security during each annual review.

We are pleased to announce that BioBam has now been recertified as a secure and responsible organization by the ISO 27001 standard.

In this blog post, learn more about the recertification process and how we ensure continued compliance.

Why did we choose recertification?

As a bioinformatics software company, we have consistently focused on innovation and expansion while upholding stringent security standards. Acquiring this accreditation is crucial for effectively fulfilling our mission for our customers and partners.

What does obtaining ISO 27001 recertification involve?

The decision to renew our ISO 27001 certification, a fairly complex process, meant a strong investment and reinforced our commitment to BioBam’s security. At the same time, it represents a great opportunity for ongoing improvement of our overall information security. The comprehensive recertification process evaluated thoroughly our current practices and internal controls, making sure they are up to date and efficient against constantly evolving security threats.

During recertification, we focus on several key values:

  1. Commitment to Excellence: Recertification reaffirms our dedication to maintaining high standards in information security, an essential aspect in today’s digital landscape.

  2. Improvement of Operational Efficiency: The process often highlights areas for improvement in our operations, leading to more efficient and effective practices.

  3. Robust Risk Management: It is crucial for managing and mitigating emerging threats and vulnerabilities, keeping us one step ahead in security measures.

  4. Strengthening Market Credibility: Keeping an updated ISO 27001 certification enhances our reputation, demonstrating our commitment to data security, which is vital for customer and partner trust.

  5. Cultivation of a Security-First Culture: Recertification involves training and policy reviews, reinforcing the importance of security at all levels of our organization.

  6. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Especially critical in industries handling sensitive data, recertification helps comply with regulatory requirements.

  7. Alignment with Global Standards: As a globally recognized standard, maintaining recertification ensures alignment with international best practices in information security.

In conclusion, the ISO 27001 recertification represents more to us than a mere formal achievement; it is a constant commitment to distinction in information security.

At BioBam, we reaffirm our dedication to high standards, operational efficiency, and the cultivation of a robust security culture. Attaining this certification not only demonstrates our commitment to protecting our data and that of our clients but also reflects our ongoing drive for improvement and alignment with global best practices. We take pride in being an ISO 27001-certified company and look forward to continually raising our standards to provide a secure and reliable environment.

Thank you for joining us on this journey of security and quality!
